Sunday 24 May 2026 Completely flat stage. The race starts in Voghera and heads towards Pavia on wide, predominantly straight roads.

Tuesday 26 May 2026 Short mountain stage entirely in Switzerland. After an initial section that rises gradually, the race enters a 22 km circuit to be covered twice.

Wednesday 27 May 2026 Rolling stage without particularly severe climbs. The approach to Lake Iseo is flat.

Thursday 28 May 2026 Undulating stage from start to finish. The route connects the Adige valley with the Brenta valley via the climb of Civezzano, then continues on rolling terrain.

Friday 29 May 2026 Major Dolomite mountain stage consisting almost exclusively of climbs and descents.

Saturday 30 May 2026 From there, the race reaches Maniago and then enters, at Montereale Valcellina, a final circuit of approximately 53 km featuring a double ascent of Piancavallo.

Sunday 31 May 2026 Final stage divided into two parts. The approach section starts from Rome-EUR and heads to the coast, reaching Ostia, before returning to the start area. Riders then enter the final circuit, to be covered 8 times, entirely within the capital.

Thursday 14 May 2026 Short and flat stage. The first part runs along the Tyrrhenian coast to Salerno, where the route climbs to Cava de’ Tirreni before entering the plain around Mount Vesuvius.

Friday 15 May 2026 Major Apennine mountain stage and the longest of the Giro. The first part runs along the southern Lazio coast through Sperlonga and Gaeta before passing through Formia again and heading north.

Saturday 16 May 2026 First part along the Adriatic, flat and on wide, mostly straight roads, followed by a second part in the Fermo hinterland with a succession of ups and downs and several “walls,” especially towards the finish.

Thursday 21 May 2026 After an initial section inland in the Imperia area as far as Pieve di Teco, the stage follows the Via Aurelia from Albenga to Savona in the opposite direction to Milano–Sanremo.
